share your birth story!

my goal this year is to make Spearmint Baby a lot more personal. i am so thrilled with all of the baby bump and photo of the day submissions. my inbox is bursting )

so, the next feature i want to add to Spearmint Baby is personal birth stories. I know that when i was pregnant with my first i loved to hear different birth experiences. i had no idea what to expect so was glad to hear that although it never usually goes exactly the way you plan in your head, there are lots of ways to give birth to a sweet healthy baby. (because that is all that matters in the end, right?)

if you have given birth or are about to do so, i want to hear all the details. did you have an all natural birth? were you heavily medicated? was there a surprise C-section? did your husband pass out? did you have a water birth? were you vomiting at every contraction and swearing at the nurse and your husband to go get you the epideral? (yes, that was me!) or maybe baby came on the ride to the hospital?? every birth story is so personal and this is your chance to share all those personal details with first time moms that could go into labor any day now. feel free to include photos. even if you gave birth years ago- you may submit. details, details…the more the better.

p.s. i’ll be sharing my birth story (about Harper) tomorrow. i haven’t gotten around to writing Rexford’s. it was so much different than Harper’s birth and i’ll put the details together later this week
