Featured Nursery – Avery

Avery’s nursery has such a fun personality! Her Mama, Amy has great ideas and such creativity!

“…it all started with these shams I found at Kukunest.com. I fell in love with them! There was a comforter that matched but I thought it had too much going on. So that is where I got the inspiration for the mural.”

“…the first picture is an Etsy find at Yellena. the 2nd picture is also artwork from Etsy, BrowningtonForest. it has an Irish blessing on it that reads: may you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night and a smooth road all the way to your door.”

“…my daughter loves loves loves penguins. So much that her 2nd birthday party was penguin themed. The muralist painted her hugging a penguin, which hides behind her door. It was a surprise for her.”

“…one of the shelves in her room. They are great for collecting items from our travels all over the world. The doll is from Mexico and the mouse is from Kosovo. Also this shelf holds her memory can. it holds items that would not fit in a scrapbook. And lastly my favorite picture of her and I. “

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp
“…my muralist is amazing! I gave her some things that I printed online and she just ran with it. I love how she made the lanterns look like they are blowing in the breeze.”

“…this is a stool my husband’s grandmother made. She was a wonderful woman. We honored her by giving Avery her name as a middle name, Belle.”

“…I really wanted a cherry bloom tree in the corner, so I got one! And I love it.

Featured Nursery – Blissful Blue

This beautiful nursery was sent to us by Pamela. To see more details about this nursery visit allweneedisamor.blogspot.com .

…”We didn’t have an idea in mind when creating the room. It came about pretty organically. We picked paint that we thought would be bright but calm (Behr’s Jamaica Bay & Cotton Whisper). We knew we wanted it to be a relaxing place and we wanted to avoid a theme. My mom made the quilt and I made the mobile. There will be a glider under the paper lanterns (once it arrives). Everything in the room in extremely affordable as we were on a pretty tight budget.

Featured Nursery – Baby Boy

Danielle’s baby boy is due to arrive on August 29th and his adorable nursery is all ready!

“…my Mum made the curtains, daybed cover and cot valance, $70 for all fabric and materials as I chose to use silk for the curtains.
The art above the cot is ABC flash cards simply stuck to the wall with blutac. I didn’t want anything heavy over the cot but the wall was just too bare without something on it and this is my compromise. The cards cost $5.50.”

“…The daybed will be so comfortable when trying to get Little Mez to sleep. I bought the polar fleece throw from Best & Less for $10. I made the 2 blue cushions years ago and picked up the orange and white one for $2.12 from Target on sale. The playmat was a gift at my baby shower and it’s perfect.”

“…I revamped this bookcase years ago with a quick lick of paint. Now it will be used to store all Little Mezza’s toys. He also has a big blue tub for toys from BigW for $10. Bought the 7 draw tallboy from Whitewood Warehouse for $265 and it’s the best choice we made. So much storage and will benefit him in years to come.
Changing table was purchased on ebay for $40 including the mattress, cover as well as a waterproof mat for after a bath.
Baskets were from Spotlight ($29 for set of 3).
I bought the bouncer (under change table) for $3.50 from local op shop and made 2 new covers for it myself.”

“…He is my favourite obsession at the moment, so adorable. I bet Little Mez will love it just as much as we do. Bought him from Babies Galore for $20.”

“…We love our GroBag Egg, especially in such a cold climate and it acts as a nightlight. Baby shoes were $2 from a secondhand baby goods sale. Lamp from Ikea.”

“…The vinyl wall decals are from “ForWalls.” The monkey decal costs $47, and the lion decal was $19.”
