Because I am so “inspired by wallpaper” I’ve decided to make this a series of posts. This week I was thinking of a really soft gender neutral room with cool blues and greys. I think ANY white crib would look great in this nursery. Possibly a Jenny Lind or IKEA crib for budget-friendlyness sake?

Hi I’m Jade from Jade Langton Evans Photography! and here’s a little bit about what I do and how I am inspired to create art!

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. A woman who glows with beauty and radiance with a new life growing inside her is a wonderful miracle, I really believe it should be celebrated and captured. Your birth story is such an exciting time and part of your journey in your life experience. I love working with mummies to be and photographing you and your bump looking fabulous. I always involve the father to be and if you have children already it’s lovely to have them a part of this special time too.

Together you and I discuss ideas to make a beautiful experience and celebrate your story through photography. I work with you to design a theme for your session that will tell YOUR story through imagery in a beautiful and unique way that is personal to you!

It normally relates to bringing those little things to life that become your family time, the quirkier and sillier always better! things can include passions, collections, special games or momentos such as family herilooms Or a special childrens book. Each session is completely different and bespoke and unique to you.

My love for the ourdoors inspires me to find the perfect location for the session and I work mainly on location outside and make use of some of the beautiful natural places around us, sometimes places that go unmissed make amazing backdrops for natural photographs. Natural, earthy type places are stunning for maternity sessions. A mother apart of nature, long grass, pretty fields of flowers, beachy type areas, drift wood and rusticness are always things I look for to make the perfect session. I can also photograph your story in the comfort of your own home if you prefer to. I am a big lover of using only the natural light that is available to me. It gives your images a beautiful and fresh feel to them.

I am very passionate about the images I create with you. A session with me really just requires you to be yourself and not worry about anything else. I am there to photograph you as you are, nothing is more important to me than capturing the true story.

We also offer a professional bump painting service which can be apart of your session where we can bring in a fun theme to your session.

There is no end to the magic we can create together! Maternity sessions normally take place around 7 months but this is a guide as each woman varies differently.

I also specialise in newborn, child and family photography too. Most clients who book maternity always have a newborn session too and these take place when the baby is under 2 weeks old.

I am based in shropshire and I have clients come to me from all over the country, I can also travel too. I have had customers book from as far as Russia!

Have you visited Pottery Barn Kids lately? Their summer 2012 collection is out and they have so many cute things. So, I was really excited when they asked me to put together some of my favorites.  It was HARD to narrow it down to 10!

I ultimately decided to get my little man a chair for his room. He is just starting to show an interest in reading, so I want him to have his own cozy space. I picked the Sherpa My First Anywhere Chair. It is so soft and cute- & Harper loves to sit on it as well!

My husband had a horrible accident in December. It was 3 days after Christmas. I’d never thought about life without him, until I almost lost him. I am not sure why he was so lucky…why WE are so lucky.  But he is still here with us.  & TODAY is a big day.

TODAY he will have the first of many surgeries that will repair his jaw. Major reconstruction that will begin at 7 AM. I hope and pray that he will come back home to us as soon as possible.

So, back to the hospital I go. I will patiently wait for my husband, my best friend, the father of my children… See you MONDAY! XO, Shari

P.S. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the Drs. & Nurses that have been involved in my husband’s recovery. I thank GOD for them everyday.

Kate Quinn is having a BIG sale on Zulily today! She is one of my favorite designers for baby/toddler clothes. Clothing is super soft for baby skin & colors/patterns are really sweet! If I was doing a baby/toddler photoshoot, this is where I’d go for outfits!

I must say I am pretty caught up on the mint trend this spring. Kate has some really fun mint pieces… my absolute favorite is the Kimono outfit, #6 & #7.
