A little about me….

My name is Shari and I am a 34 year old mom of 3: Harper 28 months, Rexford 11 months, and my stepdaughter Kaley 14 years.

My husband and I split our time between our southern NJ Townhouse and our NYC apartment.

I’m obsessed with talking about “Mama & Baby Stuff” and I would probably have 10 babies if I had more time and money!

My hobbies include getting back in shape, shopping online sales and thrift stores, looking at real estate with my husband, and reading magazines near a sunny window. (I am currently obsessed with Sunset Mag)

A few more random facts about me: I LOVE brussel sprouts and red beets. I think Botox is amazing, and I’m not at all shy about the fact that I currently have 32 units in my forehead. I’m extremely frugal and obsessive about cutting coupons…but completely the opposite when it comes to designer handbags. You’ll never find me with a french manicure. My day time “mom uniform” consists of black gym pants, a black hoodie, and white Adidas. (read personal blog posts here)

To answer the question I get asked the most…
Spearmint Baby was a name I came up with in March of 2009. I wanted to start a baby blog that was a breath of fresh air. I looked up synonyms for the word fresh. Every interesting adjective suggested was already used when I plugged domain name ideas into godaddy.com. Then I noticed the word “spearmint.” I liked spearmint as a flavor so decided it would work perfecly for my blog!

In the future I see Spearmint Baby as a place where moms & moms to be can interact. I would love for it to become an online gathering place- where you can ask questions, exchange ideas, and gather inspiration.

I look forward to getting to know you. I love comments and emails. I read every single comment -and respond as often as I have time.

Wife, working mom, and unabashed cat lover, Lauren loves to write about design, the renovation of her tiny 1930′s Tudor and, of course, all things baby. Probably best known for designing her daughter, Violet’s, nursery, she is slowly updating each room in her house to create a cozy home. Since launching her blog, with two cats, in 2009, she has been featured on HGTV, Design Sponge, ohdeedoh, and Making it Lovely and is a regular contributor to Babiekin’s Magazine. Lauren recently started her idea board service and is excited to open her Etsy shop this summer. In her free time, she enjoys digging through the shelves at her favorite thrift stores for milk glass, has a bit of an obsession with silhouettes, and can get lost on Pinterest for hours on end. Inessa is the mother of two beautiful children, Sasha (2.5) and Nicholas (8). She has a law degree, but her passion is ART – of all shapes and forms. Inessa loves to cook, bake, draw, write, illustrate and craft.

Inessa believes that childhood is the most special and magical time in a person’s life and it should be celebrated. Her children allow her to relive her own childhood every single day –by making paper airplanes with her son or baking cupcakes with her daughter.

Inessa started her blog, Diaper Style Memoirs, almost a year ago as a way to preserve all of the everyday moments in her daughter’s life. On her blog, she tells little stories about Sasha and Nicholas’ adventures from their point of view. Diaper Style Memoirs has a fashion undertone as Inessa is obsessed with children’s clothing and dressing up her daughter. (She never thought that she’d have a girl, and was convinced that only boys were in her future.)

Becky is the mother to two brand new boys, Grey and Micah, who were born at the beginning of the month. They are her first babies and she feels that she has twice the opportunity to become a newborn expert! *fingers crossed* )

She claims to be a “sloppy” but enthusiastic crafter, photographer, chef and writer; a college drop-out who’s not ashamed to say she may never go back to school; and a collector of cookbooks and children’s literature.

Becky has great jam-making ambitions and plans to start learning the art of making preserves as soon as she gets some free time… which, as you can probably guess, may be never!!
