Crib Sheet Tutorial/DIY

I’m posting this crib sheet tutorial link again. I originally posted it back in 2010, and had someone recently email that they found it extremely helpful. I really LOVE the fact that you can make a crib sheet out of your favorite fabric very inexpensively! Let me know if any of you sewers/DIYers try this one. All that you will need is 2 yards of fabric & 80 inches (204 cm) of skinny 1/4 inch elastic. Visit Made for the step by step!

  6. Oh my gosh!! Thank you, thank you! I am a beginner at sewing and had zero issues sewing a whole drawer of crib sheets due to your incredibly easy tutorial 🙂

I couldn’t find the color sheets I needed/wanted any cheaper than $30 a sheet. With this article I made 4 sheets for $30 and they are 100% better quality than store bought.

  7. If a crib sheet is loose on top, is it the actual cutting/measurements or the amount of elastic? I was a pro at making crib sheets with your typical standard cotton and started getting into organic and for whatever reason the fit is entirely different. Any suggestions on why this would happen?

  8. Thank you so much for the tutorial! I am a beginner seamstress and I made 3 of these last night while having contractions. My very first sewing project and it was super easy!
