Harper’s Bedroom

Somehow a lot of things were procrastinated in 2012. I’m getting an early start with one of my resolutions for 2013… finishing Harper’s room. The headboard/footboard are getting the final coat of paint today. Some of the initial inspiration HERE

28 Week Baby Belly

Hello!

Here is my bump at 28 weeks. This will be our second child, and its a BOY! Nolan James is due this January 27th with proud big sister Eliza who is 19 months. I am currently 33 weeks and 5 days, but who’s counting right? I had my husband take these as I am the photographer in the family, and with a lot of art directing/coaching, we got something from it. With my first, it was still winter out here and it took FOREVER to have much of any noticeable bump.

Custom Baby Gift-Basket

I’m a girl who loves giving presents and certainly gets excited when it’s for a baby girl.  I’ve never been a fan of pre-made gift baskets, as it tends to get cheesy and not the best quality products put together. Naturally, I decided to make a gift basket – items used were all purchased from Target and Macy’s. Instead of using the typical basket, I chose a plastic tray they could use and wrapped it in hot pink tissue paper with a bit of shine.  Since I couldn’t find a big bow, I used a cream hair clip. Finding cellophane wrapping was harder than I thought, but thank goodness for Target.  ..and last but not least, does anyone remember Mr.Bean’s character in the movie, Love Actually, where he was a store associate and made a spectacle out of wrapping the gift and added dried flowers etc. in the bag for that extra oomph!  Definitely one of my favorite scenes from that movie.  Well, I’m bringing it up because I did something similar – to give it that extra touch of luxury, I sprayed a bit of flowery perfume over the cellophane wrapping!  :D  Thankfully, mom and dad of the baby girl did not have any allergies and even liked the scent.  :-)

Harper’s Christmas Outfit

The twins are now 6months old. Can you believe it!?!
They are just about the happiest and healthiest preemie babies I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.

Our sweet neighbor gave us these onesies and the twins showed off their sweet personalities while modeling them.
