Day in NYC

We went up to NYC Thursday with the kids –ahhh, it was absolutely the most perfect day. Sunshine-y & 60-something degrees! First, we went to see daddy’s office. Rexford & Harper had so much fun meeting all of daddy’s work friends. The Quirky office is located in downtown NYC – one of the best parts of the city to explore. (in my opinion)

Next stop was lunch. We finally tried the famous grilled cheese at Murrays. If you love cheese…& I am talking about the REAL stuff, they carry world famous cheeses…the BEST! One of my absolute favorite places to shop in NYC. (you can also order online for dinner parties/holiday gifts/etc)

We found a nice area across the street with benches and a fountain to enjoy our sandwiches. Does anyone else have kids that cannot sit still? I dread sit down lunches, and it was so much more fun to eat picnic style in the fresh air!

Then, it was play time at the park. NYC has some fabulous parks. & there is something really romantic about sitting on a park bench watching Taxis zoom by while your kids have the “time of their life!”

It was a fabulous day. & after hours of shopping, we spent only $68… on 4 logs of stinky cheese! We will be enjoying it with lots of red wine over our holiday week together. (maybe we’ll even bring some on our quick trip to Washington DC!)

Spearmint Baby Contributor

Interested in blogging for Spearmint Baby? I am looking for a few of you to join us.

Who you are:
A blogging mom, or soon to be mom that can write fresh, exciting content for Spearmint Baby. Blogger will contribute 1 post/week on preferably the same day each week. Blogging ideas may include chronicling your pregnancy, craft projects, useful newborn tips, pretty nurseries/decor finds, mama/baby style, personal stories about family life, etc. Feel free to come up with different topics each week that may be interesting to Spearmintbaby.com readers.

Currently Natasha of One Frugal Chick & Lauren of With Two Cats contribute weekly blog posts.

A few more things to know:
• Preference will be given to bloggers who have been reading Spearmint Baby from the beginning and understand the style of the blog.
• More preference will be given to mommy bloggers who keep and regularly update their own blog.
• Blog content does not have to be original, but link backs to original content must always be included.
• Guest bloggers are free to repost content from their own blog each week. (or favorite posts from the past!)

This nursery was part of the Parade of Homes Utah & was photographed by the girls of Hiya Papaya. I am not sure what is more beautiful…the nursery or the photography!
