Alphabet Wall

Check out this gorgeous nursery sent in by Marianne. Didn’t she do an amazing job on the alphabet wall? The letters are spaced so imperfectly perfect on the wall. Other things I love…the pretty green DIY chandelier, soft blue dresser, stripe-y rug, and gorgeous quilt. The color palette of this nursery is so relaxing, I could spend all day with baby on that pretty queen bed!

…”I love looking at all the different nurseries on your blog. Here is the nursery we just completed for our son, Cohen. I got lots of inspiration from many of the nursery tours you feature. We’ve been renovating our house since we bought it 5 years ago. It is 100 years old and has presented a lot of challenges. We were in a race against time to complete the second floor enough to be carpeted before Cohen was born. Thanks to lots of help from friends and family, we finished all the drywall, mudding and painting and were able to have carpet put in on May 20th. We put together the nursery on May 21 and 22 and our tiny 6 lb. 3 oz. boy came along on May 28th, 5 days early! There are still a few small things that need to be completed like the curtain and drawer pulls but they will have to wait till we are a little less busy.
Thanks,
Marianne

  1. Gorgeous!

  2. Where did she find the alphabet letters, they’re adorable!!

  3. Thanks! I had been collecting letters from clearance sections with no real purpose in mind for a bit beforehand. Most of those came from HomeSense. A few of the letters came from Urban Outfitters and I just tweaked them a bit to make them fit more in the room. The ‘O’ is a clock with all sorts of gears moving around in it that I picked up at Chapters a couple years ago. We made the rest of the letters.

  4. I hate to break it to you, Marianne, because this is otherwise adorable, but your “j” is backwards…. Other than that, Love it!

  5. lol We are aware of the ‘J’ issue and it has since been remedied.

  6. I thought the backwards J was pretty endearing. And how cute would it be to have the baby’s first or last initial the biggest letter in the alphabet?
