New Hair Peek!

After 3 hours at the salon I feel like a new person! I have a completely new sun kissed color for summer thanks to Donelle Butcher. She had a big job to do!! I’ve spent years doing damage to my hair with boxed dyes I’m embarrassed to say. Being a SAHM is my first priority & I have taken little or no time to pamper myself. (this iPhone pic doesn’t do the color justice)

My haircut was done by Courtney Reynolds. I took the plunge and had a LOT cut off. She gave me a style that is shorter in the back (than in the front) and styled my hair with NO product. I love that I can just blow dry or even leave the house with damp hair & no worries.

Not only were these girls fabulous, but they also gave me a much needed gossip session. Isn’t it funny how talking with strangers about life’s pitfalls can be really refreshing?

Anyway, I am loving my new look, and feel so much healthier. I’ll get a front photo when I get home tonight. xo, shari

Getting My Haircut

I am on my way to an early haircut/highlight appt this morning. It has finally gotten long & I am sooo tempted to chop it off for summer. How are you wearing your hair this summer? Do you keep it shorter now that you are a mom? When I was little I thought moms were supposed to have short hair, isn’t that strange?

During a baby’s first year there is an overwhelming desire to take tons of pictures, to capture all of the firsts. Sometimes our little ones don’t cooperate. Sometimes we miss the moments. I was eagerly looking forward to my son Behr’s first day at the beach. Excited to have him feel the sand and dip his toes in the Atlantic. I wanted the day to go just right. Well, the weather didn’t cooperate. It was 70 and rainy. Fortunately Behr was a champ. Here his is, just thrilled to be on the beach! Turns out, it was perfect, even if it wasn’t what I had expected.
