Baby Blue Nursery

BEFORE

AFTER

A super pretty baby blue nursery to inspire you this afternoon. I am drooling over the DIY dresser! Can you believe that Mallory picked this piece up on Craigslist for only $20? WOW! The other idea that i LOVE in this nursery is the pretty hand made curtains she used for the closet. They add such a soft touch to the room.

Here is some more info about the nursery from Mallory:
We had just bought our home that was built in the 1930′s when we found out we were expecting. We bought it knowing we could have some fun doing renovations, but definitely turned our attention to the nursery immediately. The room was in good condition when we started, it just needed some cosmetic repairs. The nursery was done on a budget…thankfully we had some great friends and family that gave us a lot of the items as gifts which helped us to get it done with less money than we had expected to pay. We knew we wanted a room that was bright and fun to welcome our baby home. We knew our baby was a girl, but still wanted the room to feel more gender neutral. Eden Rae was born September 17, 2010 and has seemed to love the room just as much as we do. This room is now our absolute favorite place in our house and we had so much fun putting it together.

  3. WOW! What an amazing nursery! Mine is likely half the size. I never thought of a curtain for the closet, what a great idea.

Really can’t wait to get my sewing machine now :D

  4. Super pretty room!!….It looks so fresh and serene! Where did you get that white lamp/chandelier? It’s soooo cute!

  5. Joy, the light fixture is from Ikea…it’s such a great deal. It takes a bit of time to put together, but we love the result!

Thanks so much Shari for featuring our nursery! We are honored :)

  6. I really love the blue on the walls and the yellow color on the dresser. Would you share the colors names and brand?
