The Very Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party

>

you have all been asking, so i am posting your beautiful birthday parties. you can inspire each other! this Very Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party was submitted by Hana. um, hello, ADORABLE!! Hana’s parties are always spectacular and i really think she should start a side business party planning.
a bit about the party:
Hi Shari,
Just thought I’d share my youngest daughter’s recent birthday party with you in case you’d like to feature it. Her favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and it was only fitting that we used it as the theme for her 3rd birthday this past weekend. This is a very simple and inexpensive party to do b/c fruit is the main feature of the party table. I just made some tags to chronicle the story of the caterpillar’s food choices and lined them up along the table with the corresponding fruit! It was a HUGE hit and not to mention healthy! We also had lemonade and colorful straws to make it fun for the kids. Add a themed cake or cupcakes (or both!) and it’s all set! Hope you like it!

This is SO cute and I love that she used the actual food from the book! I've been thinking of doing this for my daughter's birthday. However, I am wondering about the piece of chocolate cake, ice cream cone, pickle, slice of swiss cheese, salami, lollipop, piece of cherry pie, sausage, cupcake, and watermelon…where are they?

This is so awesome! I JUST blogged about a fantastic mother who made The Very Hungry Caterpillar felt toys for her daughter, so you can imagine how excited I was to see this! Excellent, excellent job!

I can't believe the attention to detail! Beautiful! Hi there, I found this blog recently and LOVE it. For ages I've been meaning to send you a link to my daughter's first birthday party, in case you would be interested in putting it up… I'm not sure where to email you so I hope this comment is okay…
We had a Circus theme for Eleanor's first birthday, but wanted to give it a muted, vintage feel. Most of the bits and pieces were handmade, using what we had already. I hope you like it! http://verydarkhorse.blogspot.com/2010/10/circus-in-sun.html
Thanks,
Stella
