Tens of thousands of preschoolers are prescribed powerful anti-psychotic drugs, but some psychiatrists say that pills are a simple solution to a complex problem.
this video made me sad. do you think that these kids are really psychotic…or are they just a product of their environment? what are your thoughts?

I think there are definitely cases that warrant medications. However, the fact that several of the children made significant progress without them, shows they are overused.
The legos with the drug marketing info on them disgusted me. Who is marketing this drugs to pediatricians like that?!

Wow! That is so sad. I agree, I am sure there are a select number of warranted cases most are probably environmental. I would also be curious to see how many of these kids have undiagnosed food allergies and are eating lots of processed foods. So many studies have shown HUGE improvements with dietary changes.
