Peaceful, Elegant, and Feminine

Dana sent us these pics of her daughter Delaney’s nursery. This nursery is just lovely!

Dana writes…. We designed it to flow with the rest of our home…peaceful, elegant and feminine. It was definitely a labor of love, and I just adore hanging out in it!

..the wall color is Festoon Aqua from Sherwin Williams.

…I love to sew and was able to make the bedding, bedskirt, window seat and curtains. The fabric is a gorgeous poly-dupioni silk….all the luxury yet can be machined washed! The bedding was created with a creamy ivory poly silk backed with a sand colored minky dot fabric.

..I painted the block letters with a pearlized ivory paint accented with taupe and blue. Swaroski crystal details were added and each was tied off with Midori dupioni silk ribbon found throughout the room

…the lamb mobile was purchased and I sewed a matching topper for it.

…the art work above the crib was my favorite project! Once again, I used pearlized ivory paint and accented the branches with hand cut dupioni silk flowers sewn on with tiny beads. The words Sweet Dreams finishes it off!
